One update I wanted to bring to your attention is the Senate’s proposed Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES). This bill includes the following proposed relief for businesses:
-Forgivable small business loans for employers that can be used for many different business expenses, such as payroll and paid sick leave.
-Tax relief for businesses, including delaying payments for the employer portion of Social Security taxes.
-Financial assistance for vulnerable industries, including funds set aside specifically for small businesses.

Florida Governor DeSantis issued an Executive Order today suspending all onsite consumption in restaurants and bars. Delivery and take-out services are still permitted as well as limited alcohol sales. Gyms and health clubs have been ordered to close with a few exceptions.

Finally, California and Illinois have issued orders for Shelter-in-Place. The purpose of these Orders is to enforce social distancing in order to limit the spread of the virus, and they usually have exemptions for essential activities such as obtaining groceries or caring for a family member in another household. It is likely that more states will issue such orders. The CDC has issued some guidelines which can be found here.
