Chase the night, Firestone Grand Prix 5K after party to take place at Fast Friday

ST. PETERSBURG, FL, March 19, 2015 – With one week to go, organizers of the Firestone Grand Prix 5K presented by Modern Business Associates (MBA) and benefitting All Children’s Hospital have revealed that the awards ceremony and after party for the night run will take place at the City of St. Petersburg’s inaugural Fast Friday Community Block Party, taking place Friday, March 27.


The awards ceremony will begin at 8:15 p.m. with Mayor Rick Kriseman congratulating participants and Mark Lettelleir, president and CEO of MBA, presenting awards to the 5K’s top finishers. Following the awards ceremony, 5K participants will have the opportunity to take in Fast Friday’s evening festivities, which include family-friendly activities, food and beverage vendors, live entertainment, as well as prizes and interactive games from Firestone.


“We are so pleased with the community response to the 5K this year,” said Kevin Savoree, Co-Owner, President and COO of Green Savoree Racing Promotions, organizers of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. “Registration for the night run has more than doubled, thanks to the support and commitment of our presenting sponsor MBA. The community has really rallied behind this event and we’re looking forward to many new personal records for All Children’s Hospital next week.”


The Fast Friday Community Block Party is a free event and open to the entire community. The celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be taking place on Central Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Street.
